The exchanges between these four protagonists and UPRA have enabled the New Caledonian cattle sector to highlight the quality of its genetics. Indeed, the New Caledonian livestock, rich in European breeds of Charolais and Limousin type, has adapted its genetics to the tropical climate, in particular thanks to its resistance to ticks. This of course creates an undeniable attraction for Australians for these breeds and an opportunity for Caledonians to export this genetics. Nicolas Metzdorf, spokesman for the Government of New Caledonia, has also expressed his desire to sign bilateral agreements between our two territories. NCT&I also took advantage of this event to exchange with all its members present at the fair.
